We have temporarily updated our axiUm licensing restrictions in response to COVID-19.

At Exan, we are aware that your institution is facing new challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our mission is to continue to adapt and make changes where necessary, to best support our customers. As we partner with you, we also strive to work alongside you, mitigating challenges by offering accessibility.

The temporary removal of certain limits is being seen by industry stakeholders as a necessary step to facilitate working and learning from home, at a time when in-person contact should be limited as much as possible due to COVID-19.

We understand this is a challenging time for many of our customers, and that flexibility is essential. We know that you may be facing operational challenges, so Exan is temporarily removing license limit restrictions so that dental institutions can continue to operate with axiUm as usual. We will support the ability to work and learn from home so that staff and students can access axiUm remotely.

If your institution has limited workstation licenses, you can take advantage of our temporary suspension of all licensing limits at this time until July 31, 2020. Please submit a Support Case through the axiUm Community (user login required) and our team will assist you with temporarily removing license limit restrictions in your axiUm database.

In response to the news, Dr. Manish Valiathan, Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs at Case Western Reserve University remarked, “While there may exist other software, support of the system is VITAL, and Exan has been consistently excellent in this regard. [Exan’s] forward-thinking instructions and attention to detail, regarding temporary licenses, will not go unnoticed by each of us in different schools.”

Please note that we will be re-evaluating our suspension dates on an on-going basis, as information about COVID-19 and “work from home” mandates become available. When it is appropriate, we will revert your axiUm software license to the contractual limit. Then, we will aid your institution in getting back under the contractual limit by helping to restrict access for the appropriate workstations.

We look forward to our continued partnership in defining a new normal for best practices in dental schools in the future, together.
