David Kochman serves as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer for Henry Schein, Inc., the world’s largest healthcare solutions provider to office-based dental and medical practitioners. In that position he is responsible for the Company’s Global Professional Relations, Public Policy, Government Relations, CSR / Foundation, Sustainability, D&I, and Team Engagement activities, as well as the management and administration of projects and initiatives originating from the Office of the CEO. Previously, David acted as the General Counsel and Corporate Development Officer for a privately-held company in the regulated consumer products industry, and was a Partner in the New York office of the international law firm Reed Smith. Before law school, David worked in Jerusalem for the Deputy Speaker of the Israeli Knesset. David is actively involved with numerous charitable organizations focused on health care and criminal justice, and received awards recognizing his dedication to public service. He serves on the Board of Directors of MedShare International (Atlanta) and The Fortune Society (NYC). David received his B.A. in Philosophy from Emory University and his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Bruce serves as the Chief Innovation Officer for Henry Schein, Inc., reporting to Chris Pendergast, Henry Schein’s Global Chief Technology Officer.  In this role, he is at the nexus of evaluating hundreds of cutting edge solutions and technologies, advising the many medical and dental business units of Henry Schein on important emerging trends and helping connect the company’s global sales, marketing and distribution capabilities with important new products that help its customers run better practices and deliver excellent patient care.  Bruce also serves on the boards of The Forsyth Institute and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.  Previously, from 2009 until 2015, he was the Vice President, Emerging Technologies for Henry Schein, Inc., reporting to the president of Henry Schein’s Global Practice Solutions Group. Bruce had oversight responsibility for Henry Schein Medical Systems (MicroMD) between 2011 and 2017 and currently helps to lead Henry Schein One’s DDX business.  He led the ConnectDental team, focused on the launch of Henry Schein’s digital dentistry business, for two years and worked closely with the Corporate Business Development Group advising on technology opportunities.  He started, at Henry Schein, as the Director of Product Management to the leadership team in Utah when Discus Dental Software was acquired by Henry Schein, Inc. in May 2007 and was promoted, in 2008, to Vice-President of Product Management and Development, managing all of Henry Schein Practice Solutions’ software lines and development teams.  Bruce was the founder of Direct Vision Software, the General Manager of Discus Dental Software and has been a leader in dental technology for almost 40 years.  He graduated SUNY Buffalo’s School of Dentistry in 1983, practiced dentistry for 14 years between 1984 and 1997, and brings much knowledge to the Henry Schein team.

Dr. Olin graduated from the University of Iowa with his DDS degree, a certificate in Fixed Prosthodontics and a Master’s degree.  Dr. Olin is currently the interim Associate Dean for Patient Care and Clinical Services and Professor in the Division of Prosthodontics at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He is also Director of Postgraduate Programs in Contemporary and Esthetic Dentistry and has held a number of positions in his 40-year career at the UMN. He has published a number of journal articles, provided more than 130 presentations at professional meetings, conferences and continuing education programs, and presented over 30 posters/abstracts.  He’s been a member of numerous professional organizations.  He’s also taught more than 30 courses and has developed numerous curricula in prosthodontics and beyond, with a global impact having represented the U of MN in giving presentations around the world. His recent accomplishments include virology research in response to the pandemic, coordination with other Big-10 schools to provide safe clinical space for students and patients, as well as working on patents in the area of removable partial dentures.

Dr. Wenlian Zhou earned her DDS, DMD and PhD degrees in Dentistry and Orthodontics, and an MPH in Healthcare Administration and Policy. Currently Dr. Zhou is the Assistant Dean of Clinical Education at Texas Tech University Health Science Center (TTUHSC) El Paso, Woody L Hunt School of Dental Medicine (WLHSDM). Before she joined TTUHSC Hunt School of Dental Medicine, she was a professor at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, School of Dental Medicine, where she initiated, co-designed and served as the program director of its Advanced Standing Program – Doctor of Dental Surgery, and graduated three classes there. Besides her teaching duties, she is a Steering Committee member of the Commission on Dental Competency Assessments (CDCA); an examiner of ADEX dental licensure exam; a fellow of the International College of Dentists (ICD) US Section, and a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the national dental honor society.

Sheila Kennedy, MBA, brings over 16 years of experience in dental education and currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Institutional Development and Faculty Affairs at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. She actively participates in advancing dental education at CU having been involved in three CODA (Commission on Dental Accreditation) site visits as well as serving on the CU School of Dental Medicine’s Performance Improvement Working Group.

Pirin Becker is an accomplished leader with 16 years of experience in dental education and a background in clinical operations, revenue cycle management, project management, and continuous process improvement. Serving as the Associate Director of Clinical Systems & Informatics at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, Pirin is dedicated to driving innovation through the seamless integration of technology to enhance patient care and streamline operations.

Melissa Miller serves as the CIO, Senior Director of Information Technology for the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She has been providing strategic leadership in the use of technology to increase efficiencies, improve processes and enable innovations for the last 10 years. She holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Rowan University, an M.S. in Computer Science and an MBA from La Salle University in Philadelphia. Prior to joining Penn, Melissa spent 8 years leading technology teams at La Salle University in a variety of roles including Enterprise Systems and Application Development.

Patrick Hetherington is a leader with over 30 years of experience in technology involving applications development, systems design, data organization, database management, workflow analysis, process engineering and process re-engineering. Patrick’s degrees include a BS from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania majoring in Management Information Science while obtaining a minor Computer Science and a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business. As the Clinical Informatics Manager at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, Patrick has provided leadership in the use of applications within the clinical environment implementing revised and vastly improved workflow of collecting, maintaining, and reporting on income, patient records and student progression. This information has been used extensively in his development with analytical tools such as Tableau and Microsoft PowerBI. The resultant dashboards and reports have improved the school’s bottom line while providing information on predoctoral student experiences which is critical in maintaining the school’s accreditation. Patrick is also well known for his analytical and organizational skills and in his mentoring of administration, clinicians and staff in all aspects of patient records and systems throughout the dental schools in the United States and Canadian communities.

A former public school music teacher, Brent has had an eclectic transition into a completely different career at School of Dentistry. Starting as an instructional technologist, Brent helped refine the management of all classroom technology, including introducing an electronic exam platform and introducing multiple professional learning opportunities related to technology. Over the last couple of years, he has formed a team of instructional designers to provide support and help, while also hiring a clinical systems analyst, as his team has also taken ownership of the school’s electronic health record as well. His team provides classroom technology support, learning management system support, and many professional training opportunities for all faculty, staff, and students.

Richelle Janiec graduated with a BS Degree in Agriculture, from the School of Food Science and Human Nutrition, at the University of Florida in 1986. After working administrative roles in the Food and Nutrition Services industry, Richelle transitioned to the dental field by becoming both a DANB certified dental assistant and a Florida licensed dental hygienist. In 2007 Richelle combined her administrative and dental experience for her role with the University of Florida, College of Dentistry supporting the clinical dean for the Office for Clinical Affairs and Quality.

Dr. Mong is a dental professional who graduated from UCSF School of Dentistry in 1994 and later earned a doctorate in education. With 16 years of experience in private dental practice, he transitioned to academia, becoming a full-time faculty member at UCSF School of Dentistry. Dr. Mong served as the Clinic Director and Group Practice Director at UCSF before joining UCLA, where he currently holds the roles of Student Clinic Director and section chairperson of Interdisciplinary Dentistry. Apart from his extensive experience in general dentistry and patient care, Dr. Mong is passionate about enhancing student learning and improving dental care quality across all levels. With over ten years in the IT field and over 15 years in Customer Service, Mike Douglas has a broad background in technology and leadership. As Assistant Director of IT Programs at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, he oversees project management and IT services for the school’s Dental Informatics organization. The Informatics team has 26 team members and supports over 1,000 EHR users, 13 clinics, and around 600 daily appointments. Michael’s current focus includes managing the axiUm software suite, spearheading system updates, expanding DEI initiatives for patients and providers, and guiding strategic planning. Her roles have been in both business and technology ranging from ETL developer writing SQL code, working as a marketing analyst measuring omni-channel campaign effectiveness, to leading analytic transformation programs at multiple Fortune 100 financial services companies. Other work includes presenting to the FDA as part of a working group to identify novel endpoints for clinical trials, and meeting with federal administrators and legislators to advocate for rare disease causes. She is a regular conference speaker focusing on realizing sustainable competitive advantage from analytics and serves as an advisory board member for the Customer Analytics Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. James Anderson is a practicing dentist and the CEO and Co-Founder of eAssist Dental Solutions. Dr. DiMarino is an international speaker and the Chief Executive Officer at Practice Booster and eAssist Publishing, LLC. He holds a dental degree and master’s degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a General Practice Residency, became a solopreneur practicing general dentistry, all while researching and implementing advanced dental technologies and consulting as a Dentrix and Schick trainer. Prior to joining Henry Schein, Rick was Vice President of Revenue for a high-growth hospitality technology company, leading Series A and B funding and demonstrating his ability to drive growth and revenue in a dynamic and challenging environment. His expertise also extends into the AI and machine learning space, where he spent two years focusing on overhauling outdated methodologies of merchandise planning by using machine learning algorithms to optimize major retailers to buy and manufacture more sustainably. James Cunliffe brings to the table an extensive 24-year tenure within the technical industry, boasting a rich background encompassing support, implementation, training, and service roles. During his six-year tenure at Exan, he has demonstrated remarkable leadership capabilities by spearheading teams within both the Canadian PMS and Academic business lines.

Vani is a dynamic addition to the Henry Schein One | axiUm team who joined less than a year ago. Armed with a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia, she is integrated into our Professional Services team as a Technical Implementation Consultant.

Lauralynn has over 30 years experience with dental administration and dental management software solutions. First joining Exan in 1986, Lauralynn has worked on hundreds of projects with private dental clinics as well as dental schools across North America and beyond.

Mike has been with Henry Schein One for four years. He has a passion for helping our dental school partners find solutions to their problems.

Marty Shah has been with Henry Schein One | axiUm for 2 years, working in the professional services team under Phil Qumsieh. He is currently the only project manager in the department, leading all of the initiatives currently put forward by the department.
